Procedures
Facelift
Sun exposure, weight fluctuation, and the natural
aging process make skin loosen and sag, resulting
in wrinkles and jowls. The muscles on the neck
can slacken, too, causing you to look years older
than you are. Facelift is a surgical procedure
designed to eliminate face and neck wrinkles simultaneously,
thereby rejuvenating the skin and restoring your
youthful appearance. Fresh, taut skin can make
you look decades younger! Facelift surgery is

The first step in facelift surgery involves making
incisions along the hairline, by the ear, on the
chin, or along the earlobe. Then, excess skin
is lifted and removed. To complete the facelift,
the remaining skin is then smoothed, tightened,
and secured with sutures or small metal clips.
Depending on the condition of your skin and your
desired results, the procedure may take up to
three hours at our practice in Daytona Beach.
Side effects may include swelling, numbness, bruising,
and tightness, but most patients report little
pain and only minor discomfort.

Browlift
Those horizontal lines on our foreheads or those

sad, angry, or older than we truly are. Those
wrinkles are intensified by sun exposure, heredity,
and weight gain or loss. Forehead lift can take
years--even a decade--off our faces by tightening
and lifting the skin on our foreheads, thereby
eliminating wrinkles and expression lines. The
end result is a more refreshed, youthful appearance.
During endoscopic forehead lift (usually chosen
by younger patients who are just developing brow
wrinkles), an endoscope is inserted below the
skin. The skin and underlying muscles are lifted
and tightened. The brow will heal in the new position.
Both methods of forehead lift are often combined

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Droopy, puffy eyes and eyelids can make you appear
tired or older than you are. A common solution
sought by our Daytona Beach cosmetic surgery patients
is eyelid surgery. Eyelid surgery, called blepharoplasty,
can restore the skin around your eyes to its natural,
youthful appearance and drastically reduce the
signs of aging. In some cases, it can even improve
vision impaired by sagging lids.
During blepharoplasty, an incision is made along
the eyelid, and excess fat, muscle, and skin are
trimmed away. At our practice in Daytona Beach,
this outpatient procedure, which typically takes
one to three hours, is performed under anesthesia.
Blepharoplasty is considered to be permanent in
many cases--although it will not prevent natural
aging. Post eyelid surgery, dry eyes, swelling,
bruising, and sensitivity to light may occur,
but such side effects will fade within 10 days.

Nose Reshaping
(Rhinoplasty)
Changing the shape or size of your nose may be
something you have wanted to do for a long time.
Rhinoplasty can make a nose larger or smaller
and can adjust the shape of the bridge, tip, or
nostrils. Rhinoplasty can also correct crookedness,
injuries, and breathing abnormalities due to problems
with the internal structures of the nose. The
decision to have rhinoplasty performed is a personal
choice that can increase your confidence and improve
the balance and proportions of your face.
During the rhinoplasty procedure, which is performed
under either general or local anesthesia, incisions
are made along the rims of the nostrils. By placing
the incisions inconspicuously, there should be
virtually no visible scarring following rhinoplasty
surgery. If the nose is being made smaller, the
bones are carefully fractured and reset. If a
bump is being removed, the excess cartilage is
scraped away. Depending on the individual, rhinoplasty
takes one to two hours to complete, and complete

Breast Augmentation
(Breast Enlargement)

is a cosmetic procedure designed to increase and

The end result is a more curvaceous, sexy bust

During breast augmentation, an incision is made
under the breast, around the nipple, or under
the arm, and a saline- or silicone gel-filled
sack implant is carefully inserted under the breast
tissue or pectoral muscles. Once the implant is
in place, the incision is stitched closed. Breast
augmentation is performed under local anesthesia
with sedation or under general anesthesia, and
the procedure takes approximately one hour to complete.
During recovery from breast augmentation, patients
typically experience breast sensitivity, soreness,
swelling, and possible temporary decreased nipple
sensation, but most side effects subside as breasts
heal (usually within three to six weeks).

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Even though you may do dozens of crunches and
abdominal exercises a day, you may find it impossible
to lose the excess fat and skin around your midsection.
Luckily, there is a solution – abdominoplasty,
and we perform it at our practice near Orlando.
Also called "tummy tuck," abdominoplasty
is a cosmetic procedure sure to give you sleeker,
more defined abs.
In tummy tuck surgery, an incision is made from
one hip to the other, and the skin is separated
from the abdominal muscles. The muscles are tightened,
narrowing the waistline and flattening the midsection.
In the next step of abdominoplasty, the flap of
skin is folded down, and excess skin is removed.
Last, the flap is replaced, and the incision is
stitched closed. The entire tummy tuck procedure
takes between two and five hours, depending how
much work is needed. Bruising and swelling (which
typically subside within 10 days) are the most
common side effects of tummy tuck.

Liposelection
Candidates sometimes decide against liposuction
because they fear a long recovery process will keep them from
their normal lives. While our practice uses the most attentive and precise methods
available to perform standard liposuction procedures, we are proud to announce we now offer
a breakthrough technology called LipoSelectionSM by VASER®. Considered gentler and more
precise than its predecessor, LipoSelection uses ultrasound technology to avoid some of
the nerve, tissue, and blood vessel damage that sometimes results from traditional liposuction.
After a saline solution is injected into the desired location to shrink the blood vessels
and numb the region, ultrasound waves pass through the treatment area, avoiding the healthy, connective tissue,
and targeting only the fat cells. These fat cells are then liquefied and gently suctioned out,
bypassing the pressure and force sometimes required with normal liposuction processes. Because the fat
is removed so easily and through a tiny, self-healing incision, there is very little recovery time.

Liposuction
Sometimes, even if you stick to a healthy diet
and a regular exercise regimen, you can't seem
to eliminate fat pockets and cells from your body's
problem areas, especially in the legs, buttocks,
hips, stomach, arms, chin, neck, or ankles. Liposuction
is a surgical procedure that targets these problem
areas and leaves your body more sculpted, toned,
and lithe. Our practice offers liposuction to

As part of the liposuction procedure, a small
incision is made in the problem area. Next, a
thin, hollow tube is inserted into the incision,

Otoplasty
When a child or young adult has especially large

pinning (or otoplasty) is a surgical procedure
that can change the size and shape of a person's
ears. The procedure is most commonly performed
between the ages of five and 14, but it can be
performed on adults as well. Ear pinning is a
highly effective procedure that can improve both

First, an incision is made behind the ear, and
excess cartilage is then removed. Remaining cartilage
is then sutured—or pinned—into place
